At Midsummer

Spotted this heron yesterday as it landed briefly by a pool. I think it was hoping to spy young Fingerlings which have come upstream after the recent heavy rain.

Cheerful, useful Nasturtiums are now flowering freely.

Mmmmmm

Unable to resist any longer, we dug up a few of the potatoes which were planted at the beginning of April - they were just so delicious with a dab of welsh butter and some freshly ground black pepper.

Solstice Moon

Late last night the rain finally stopped and the clouds were blown thin, revealing a glimpse of the full moon.

The moon this evening over Carn Breseb

Foel Drygarn, and to announce a new blog for shop updates

Foel Drygarn this afternoon, taken from the road to Crymych. The three bronze age cairns at the summit were later surrounded by an iron age hillfort. There are two protective rings of stonework and two huge banks. Within these banks and rings there are over two hundred hut circles.

I have recently created a second blog to show new items as they are added to the Lost Stones online shop. If you'd like to be updated when we add new things then this is the place to look: What's new at Lost Stones

This evening

The mists descend on the hills this evening after a beautiful sunny day.

The sunset is dramatic - still marvel at the fact that the telephone wire at the top right of the picture means that I can post a picture of it here.
